Gabriel Crenshaw, Psy.D., (Dr. Gabe) is a licensed clinical psychologist, author, and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California, where he lectures on Neuropsychology and Research. He is a called-upon mental health and wellness expert, having served as consultant and/or host for several TV programs and as a contributor for outlets including The Doctors, The Oprah Winfrey Network, Spike TV, CNN/HLN, Women’s Health, Well + Good magazine, and USA Today. His passion for people has allowed him to build trust and solid community relationships between USC Department of Psychology, School of Social Work, Viterbi School of Engineering, and marginalized groups within inner-city Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Crenshaw lectures both nationally and internationally on the neuropsychological implications of adult and childhood trauma, and hosts the online digital program, Mental Minute™w/Dr. Gabe.
Crenshaw’s research interests include Cultural Neuroscience and the neurobiological phenomena that informs race relations, and Tattoo Therapy as a treatment modality. His latest publication is The Reality of Diversity, Gender, and Skin Color From Living to Classroom (Chapter 17).
An accomplished musician/singer/songwriter, he aims to inspire people to burst through their wall of fear and accept their innate brilliance.
